1. Recall Summary

On February 19, 2026, a recall was announced for JJGoo-branded LED balloon lights. The recall was initiated because the products violate the mandatory federal safety standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. The lights contain button cell batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. Additionally, the LED lights do not include the warnings required by Reese’s Law. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall. The recall involves approximately 3,400 units.

2. Affected Products

The recalled products are JJGoo-branded LED balloon lights. The lights are submersible and were sold in packs of 100 LED color-changing lights. Each individual light is multi-colored, blinks, and measures approximately 0.6 inches in diameter. Each light contains 200 preinstalled LR41 button cell batteries. The product packaging bears a label with the model number “MY1005E-Colorfu1-100.” The lights were sold online at Amazon.com from May 2025 through November 2025 for approximately $23. The distributor is Shenzhen Yimu Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as JJGoo, of China. The country of manufacture is China.

3. Hazard Information

The recalled lights violate the mandatory safety standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. The button cell batteries inside the lights can be accessed easily by children. When swallowed, button cell batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death. The product also lacks the warning labels required by Reese’s Law, which mandates specific warnings on packaging and products containing such batteries. No injuries have been reported to date.

4. Consumer Action Required

Consumers are instructed to take the following actions immediately:
– Stop using the recalled LED lights.
– Place the lights in an area that children cannot access.
– Properly dispose of the batteries.
– Contact JJGoo for a full refund.
– Throw the balloon lights away and send a photo of the product in the trash to the email address provided by JJGoo.

Note: Button cell and coin batteries are hazardous. Batteries should be disposed of or recycled by following local hazardous waste procedures.
