1. Recall Summary
Prismatic 3D Prints LLC, of Loveland, Colorado, is recalling approximately 1,770 units of Prismatic 3D Prints Book Nooks with Lights. The recall was announced on February 19, 2026. The recall was initiated because the product violates the mandatory federal safety standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries, as well as the federal statute for battery packaging (Reese’s Law). No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are bookshelf decorations known as “Book Nooks,” designed to be placed between books. They are equipped with lights. The book nooks were sold in three designs: Fantasy Window, Gothic Cathedral Window, and Gothic Cathedral Window (sold as a set of three). Frame colors available include antique gold, pewter, black granite, white marble, and black. Window colors available include purple, red, yellow, green, and blue. The base of each book nook contains a circular recess behind the window designed to hold spare CR2032 coin cell batteries. The words “extra battery” are embedded in the plastic within this recess. The products were sold online at Etsy.com from March 2025 through October 2025 for between $25 and $72. The products were manufactured in the United States.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled book nooks violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. The hazard is that the book nooks include a spare lithium coin battery that can be easily accessed by children. Additionally, the spare coin battery is not packaged in child-resistant packaging, and the product packaging does not contain the required warnings as mandated by Reese’s Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled book nooks. Consumers must remove the batteries from the product and place them in an area that children cannot access. Consumers should then contact Prismatic 3D Prints for instructions on how to receive a free repair kit. The recall notice specifies that button cell batteries are hazardous. Consumers are instructed to dispose of or recycle the removed batteries by following local hazardous waste procedures.
