The number of units affected in the United States is about 22,600. An additional approximately 10,250 units were sold in Canada. The product was manufactured in China. The importer is IKEA Supply AG, of Switzerland. The distributor is IKEA US Retail LLC, of Virginia.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is that the USB charger’s cable can become damaged or break over time. This condition poses burn and electric shock hazards to consumers. According to the recall notice, IKEA has received 17 incident reports globally involving this product. These reports include five reports of burns and four reports of electric shock. The recall notice explicitly states that no incidents or injuries have been reported in the United States.
