1. Recall Summary
On December 12, 2022, AlEn USA L.L.C., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of Art of Green laundry detergent products. The recall was initiated due to the risk of exposure to bacteria. The recall notice was published under CPSC Recall Number 23066. Approximately 14,550 units were affected. The products were manufactured in Mexico and sold at Save Mart, Lucky and Food Maxx regional stores and online at Amazon.com from April 2022 through October 2022 for between $6 and $25.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves the following Art of Green laundry detergent products:
– Art of Green Free and Clear laundry detergent in 100-ounce bottles. UPC code: 4315204860. Date code: LOT M 220315.
– Art of Green Zen Lavender Garden laundry detergent in 100-ounce bottles. UPC code: 4315204850. Date code: LOT M 220314.
– Art of Green Zen Lavender Garden laundry detergent in 33.8-ounce pouches. UPC code: 4315204874. Date codes: LOT Q 220324, LOT Q 220325, LOT Q 220326, LOT Q 220328.

All products have “Art of Green” printed on the front of the label. The UPC codes are located on the back label near the barcode. The date codes can be found on the cap of the 100-ounce bottles or on the back left corner of the 33.8-ounce pouches.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled products can contain bacteria, including *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water. According to the recall notice, people with weakened immune systems or external medical devices who are exposed to *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. The recall notice states that people with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries had been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Art of Green laundry detergent products. To receive a refund, consumers must take a photo of the UPC and date code of the product. After taking the photo, consumers should dispose of the product by closing the bottle tightly and placing it in household trash. The recall notice explicitly instructs: “Do not empty the product prior to disposal.”

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. Consumers must contact the firm to initiate the refund process. The refund is contingent upon providing a photo of the UPC and date code as described in the consumer action instructions.
