Bebe au Lait, of Santa Clara, California, is recalling approximately 8,600 wooden teethers (in addition, about 10 units were sold in Canada). The recall was initiated on February 23, 2022. The teethers were sold at Target and various other stores nationwide and online at Bebeaulait.com, Zulily.com, and other websites from May 2019 through October 2021 for approximately $15. The products were manufactured in China.
3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the string connecting the beads on the teethers can come untied, releasing the beads. This poses a choking hazard to young children. According to the recall notice, Bebe au Lait has received six reports of detached beads, including one report of a child placing a bead in their mouth.
