2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Poseidon M28A Dive Computer. Only units with a serial number starting with “M28A-” are included in this recall. The serial number and two metallic wet-switches are located on the back side of the recalled dive computers. Approximately 100 units were sold in the United States. The dive computers were sold at diving stores nationwide and online, as well as at www.poseidon.com, from March 2017 through April 2019. The retail price was about $2,100.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled Poseidon M28A Dive Computers can stop working due to intake of water. This water intake can cause the depth sensor and other electronic components of the dive computer to malfunction. A malfunctioning depth sensor can result in a loss of dive data for the diver, posing an injury hazard. The firm has received one report within the U.S. of water intake causing the depth sensor and other electronic components of the dive computer to malfunction. No injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dive computers. Consumers should contact Poseidon Diving Systems at m28a@poseidon.com to arrange for return of the product via free return shipping. The firm will provide a free repair. No other action is specified in the recall notice.
