The recalled product is Organic Zing Birch Oil, sold in amber glass bottles. The bottles have black continuous thread caps and a beige and green label with white and black labeling. The front of the bottle displays the Organic Zing logo, the words “Birch Oil,” and “Pure & Natural.” The product is also sold in a beige and green box packaging, with the Organic Zing logo and “Pure & Natural” printed on the front, and “Made in India” printed on the back. Approximately 940 units were sold. The product was sold online at Amazon.com from January 2024 through November 2025 for about $20. Model numbers and UPCs are not specified in the recall notice.
3. Hazard Information
The recalled essential oil bottles contain methyl salicylate. Under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA), products containing this substance must be sold in child-resistant packaging. The bottles for this product are not child resistant. This poses a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
