1. Recall Summary
Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain Model Year 2025 Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles. The recall was published on March 20, 2025, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) under Recall Number 25188. The recall involves snowmobiles equipped with a 600R E-TEC, 850 E-TEC, or 850 E-TEC Turbo R engine. The brand name “Ski-Doo,” the model name, and the engine type are printed on the side panels of the vehicles. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is located on a decal on the right-hand side of the tunnel underneath the seat. Dealers can check for VINs included in this recall. The snowmobiles were sold in various color combinations.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are Model Year 2025 Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles equipped with a 600R E-TEC, 850 E-TEC, or 850 E-TEC Turbo R engine. The number of units affected in the United States is about 4,144. In addition, about 2,205 units were sold in Canada. The snowmobiles were sold at authorized BRP Ski-Doo/Lynx dealers nationwide from February 2024 through November 2024, with prices ranging between $10,000 and $20,000. The manufacturer is Bombardier Recreational Products Inc., of Canada. The importer is BRP US Inc. (Bombardier Recreational Products), of Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard involves the engine control module (ECM) lower mount support, which could have broken during production. If broken, a loose part may remain inside the engine compartment. This loose part could enter the throttle body area and cause the throttle to become stuck. A stuck throttle poses a crash hazard and risk of serious injuries or death. The firm has received four reports of a stuck throttle. No injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled snowmobiles. Consumers should contact a BRP dealer to schedule a free appointment. BRP is contacting all known purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a repair. Dealers will inspect the ECM and the throttle body area to look for any broken part from the ECM lower mount support. If a detached part is found, dealers will remove the detached part and replace the ECM free of charge.
