Hazard Information
The hazard involves the retaining pin in the e-bike’s disc brake calipers. According to the recall notice, the retaining pin can loosen and dislodge from the caliper assembly. This can result in brake failure, posing crash and injury hazards to the rider. The firm has received 21 reports of loose retaining pins and/or related brake failure. One minor injury has been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled e-bikes. Consumers should contact the firm to receive a free repair kit. The repair kit includes a new retaining pin. Consumers will also receive up to $50 toward the cost of professional installation of the new pin. After installation, consumers must send a copy of their installation receipt to Super73 for reimbursement of the installation cost. Super73 and its retailers are contacting all purchasers directly.
