1. Recall Summary
On April 3, 2025, AliExpress, of San Mateo, California, announced a recall of approximately 50 units of XZT Huizhou compact mini hair dryers. The recall was issued in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recalled products were sold exclusively on AliExpress.com from May 2023 through November 2024 for between $1 and $7. The recall number is 25210.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves XZT Huizhou’s compact mini hair dryers. The foldable dryers were sold in blue, green, pink, and white. They feature a white switch with two gear settings and a thermostatic function. The side of the hair dryer displays the text “Fashion Hair Dryer” and an image of two animal faces, located next to a white button with “OK” embossed on it. The product was imported by AliExpress, of San Mateo, California, and distributed by Huizhou Bailitong Electronics Co. Ltd., dba XZT Huizhou, of China. The manufacturer country is China. No model numbers or UPCs are specified in the recall notice.

3. Hazard Information
The handheld hair dryers lack an immersion protection device. According to the recall notice, this can cause death or serious injury due to electrocution or shock if the hair dryers fall into water when plugged in. The hair dryers are in violation of federal regulations and present a substantial product hazard. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately unplug and stop using the recalled hair dryer. Consumers are instructed to contact AliExpress to receive a full refund. As part of the remedy process, consumers will be asked to destroy the recalled hair dryer by cutting the cord and disposing of it. Consumers must send a photo of the destroyed hair dryer to us_product_recall@aliexpress.com, or by replying to the recall email sent by AliExpress.
