3. Hazard Information
The recalled spray bottles contain minoxidil. Under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, products containing minoxidil are required to be packaged in child-resistant containers. The packaging on these recalled bottles is not child-resistant. This failure to meet the mandatory standard creates a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.
4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers are instructed to immediately secure the recalled spray bottles out of sight and reach of children. Consumers should then contact Moralowen to request a free replacement bottle that is equipped with a child-resistant closure. After receiving the replacement bottle, consumers are instructed to transfer the contents of the recalled bottle into the new child-resistant bottle. Once the product has been transferred, consumers may continue to use the product as directed.
5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a product replacement. Moralowen will provide consumers with a free replacement bottle that has a child-resistant closure. No refund is offered. Consumers must contact Moralowen to initiate the replacement process.
