1. Recall Summary
This recall involves Head Ski Boots with fluorescent yellow components from model years 2016 through 2022. The recall was initiated by Head USA Inc., of Boulder, Colorado, and published on April 9, 2026. The recall number is 26395. Approximately 1,365 units were sold in the United States, and an additional 525 units were sold in Canada. The boots were manufactured in the Czech Republic.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are Head Ski Boots with fluorescent yellow components. Two categories of boots are included:

– Boots with fluorescent yellow shell materials (eligible for replacement): These include models with specific article codes and production years. Article codes are six-digit numbers marked in the heel area on the inner side of the left boot. Affected models and article codes include:

– Boots with fluorescent yellow sole inserts (eligible for new sole inserts): Affected models and article codes include:
– 605048 (VECTOR RS, 2015)
– 605052 (VECTOR EVO XR, 2016-2017)
– 606035 (VECTOR EVO ST, 2016)
– 606115 (ADVANT EDGE 95, 2016)
– 601105 (FORMULA 130 RS, 2021)
– 601140 (FORMULA 130, 2021)

The boots were sold at various ski retailers nationwide and online from September 2015 through March 2026 for between $500 and $750.

3. Hazard Information
The fluorescent yellow materials of the boot shell and sole inserts can deteriorate and break, posing a risk of serious injury from a fall. As of the recall date, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled ski boots immediately and contact Head USA or a Head authorized retailer.

5. Official Remedy
The remedy depends on the type of boot:
– For recalled boots with fluorescent boot shell materials, Head will provide free replacement boots in a newer equivalent model upon return of the recalled boots.
– For recalled boots with yellow sole inserts, Head will provide free replacement sole inserts, which can be installed by the consumer or by a ski shop.
