Recall Summary
On February 8, 2024, Electrolux Group, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of certain Frigidaire branded side by side refrigerators equipped with Slim Ice buckets. The recall involves units manufactured between 2015 and 2019. The recall number is 24110. The total number of units affected is approximately 383,240.

Affected Products
The recalled products are Frigidaire branded side by side refrigerators with Slim Ice buckets. The following model numbers are included in the recall: DGHK2355TF, DGHX2655TF, FFSC2323TS, FGSC2335TD, FGSC2335TF, FGSS2635TD, FGSS2635TE, FGSS2635TF, FGSS2635TP, FPSC2277RF, FPSC2278UF, FPSS2677RF, LFSC2324VF, LGHK2336TD, LGHK2336TF, LGHX2636TD, and LGHX2636TF. The last letter of each model number denotes the color: F and S indicate Stainless Steel; D indicates Dark Stainless Steel; E indicates Black Painted; P indicates White Painted. The model and serial numbers are printed on a serial plate located inside the refrigerator compartment. The refrigerators were sold at Lowe’s, Home Depot, and other stores nationwide, as well as online at Frigidaire.com, from November 2015 through September 2019. The retail price ranged from $1,400 to $2,400. The products were manufactured in Mexico.

Hazard Information
The recalled refrigerators contain an ice bucket assembly component that can break. This breakage can result in plastic pieces entering the ice bucket. If these plastic pieces are dispensed out of the ice bucket, they pose choking and laceration hazards to consumers. Electrolux Group has received 343 reports of plastic pieces breaking off from the ice bucket assembly. Among these reports, two incidents involved laceration and ingestion injuries when the pieces were dispensed out of the recalled ice bucket.

Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the ice makers on the recalled refrigerators. Consumers should then contact Electrolux Group to request a replacement ice bucket assembly component. The replacement will be provided free of charge. Consumers should not continue to use the ice maker until the replacement component has been installed.

The official remedy for this recall is a repair. Electrolux Group will provide consumers with a replacement ice bucket assembly component at no cost. The remedy is limited to the replacement of the ice bucket assembly component. No refund or replacement of the entire refrigerator is offered under this recall.
