Recall Summary
On January 12, 2022, EGL Motor Inc., of El Monte, California, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of certain youth all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). The recall involves EGL and ACE branded Youth ATVs, models MADIX 125 and D110. The vehicles were sold as either Age 12+ or Age 16+. The name of the vehicle is printed on a label located on both sides of the vehicle. The model number is stamped into a metal plate located on the left side, under the rear body. Affected Products
The recalled products are EGL and ACE branded Youth ATVs, specifically models MADIX 125 and D110. The vehicles were sold at Triple J Import, AWL Distribution, D&M Motorsports, and other authorized dealerships nationwide from July 2020 through March 2021 for between $650 and $850. The manufacturers are Yongkang Jiayue Industry & Trading Co., Ltd., of China (model D110) and Yongkang Eagle Motor Co., Ltd., of China (model MADIX 125). The importer is EGL Motor Inc., of El Monte, California. No other model numbers, serial numbers, or UPCs are specified in the recall notice.

Hazard Information
The recall notice states that the youth ATVs fail to comply with the requirements of the federal mandatory ATV safety standard. Specific hazards identified in the recall notice include:
– Children can operate the ATVs above the maximum allowed speed, increasing the risk of a crash that can cause serious injuries.
– The handlebars pose a laceration hazard should the child rider’s body or head impact the handlebars at a high rate of speed, such as in a crash.
