1. Recall Summary
On January 19, 2023, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published Recall Number 23104. This recall involves Shanghai Xunao Elevator NewCosplay long-sleeved, button-up one-piece children’s sleepwear. The sleepwear was sold exclusively on Amazon.com. The recall was initiated due to the garments failing to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a burn hazard. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are NewCosplay brand children’s sleepwear. The garments are long-sleeved, button-up one-piece sleepwear made of 100% polyester. They were sold in sizes 4T through 10 years. The sleepwear was available in three character designs: pink flying squirrel, gray flying squirrel, and coffee flying squirrel. The inside seam label displays the fiber content and washing instructions. The sewn-in neck label displays the garment’s size and the word “NEWCOSPLAY.” Approximately 2,140 units were sold. The products were sold online at www.amazon.com from October 2021 through May 2022, with a price range between $17 and $26. The manufacturer is Suzhou Rongtai Home Textile Co. Ltd., of China. The importer is Shanghai Xunao Elevator Co. Ltd., of China. The country of manufacture is China.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled children’s sleepwear fails to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. This violation poses a risk of burn injuries to children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries or incidents have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear garments away from children and stop using them. Consumers must destroy the garments by cutting them in half. After destroying the garments, consumers should email a photo of the destroyed garment to Shanghai Xunao Elevator at chenye1964@163.com. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price. Shanghai Xunao Elevator and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund of the purchase price. To receive the refund, consumers must follow the destruction and photo submission process described in Section 4. No other remedy options are specified in the recall notice.
