1. Recall Summary
This recall involves the Mama & Me MINI children’s leather handbags. The recall was initiated by Kelly Wynne LLC, of Austin, Texas, and was published on February 24, 2022. The recall number is 22731. The recall is classified as a Recall Alert. The handbags were manufactured in China. Approximately 1,050 units were sold. The recall was issued due to a violation of the federal lead content ban.

2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Mama & Me MINI children’s leather handbag. The handbags measure approximately 6.5 inches high, 9.5 inches wide, and 3.25 inches deep. They were sold in three colors or color combinations: coral, coral/purple, and taupe. Each handbag has a top zipper, an interior slip pocket, and a detachable, 21-inch-long, gold and leather strap that can be shortened or removed. The Kelly Wynne logo is printed on a golden sewn-in label located on the inside of the handbag. The following SKU and UPC number combinations are found on the order invoice:

– SKU MINI875 and UPC 850023783288
– SKU MINI500 and UPC 850023783288

The handbags were sold online at kellywynne.com and nordstrom.com from July 2020 through October 2021 for about $28.

3. Hazard Information
The metal zipper slider, zipper O-ring, D-ring, rivet, and stud of the children’s handbags contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled handbags away from children. Consumers who purchased the handbag at kellywynne.com should contact Kelly Wynne for a full refund. Consumers who purchased the handbag at Nordstrom.com should contact Nordstrom. Kelly Wynne and Nordstrom are contacting all known purchasers directly. Both companies will provide pre-paid shipping labels for consumers to return the recalled product for a full refund.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. Consumers must return the recalled handbag using the pre-paid shipping label provided by either Kelly Wynne or Nordstrom, depending on the point of purchase. After the product is returned, the consumer will receive a full refund.
