The recalled products are glass carboys sold in three-, five-, six-, and six-point-five-gallon sizes. Each carboy has the Saxco logo printed on the bottom. The carboys were sold individually or as part of TrueBrew or HCS equipment kits (for five- and six-gallon carboys). The products were manufactured in China and imported by Saxco International, LLC. The distributor is Brewers Supply Group, Inc., d/b/a BSG HandCraft (“BSG”), of Shakopee, Minnesota. The carboys were sold at various stores nationwide and online from September 2022 through March 2023. Individual carboys were sold for between $16 and $31. 3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the glass can break due to improper cooling processes during manufacturing. This breakage poses a laceration hazard to consumers.
