Bell Sports Inc., of Irvine, California, has issued a recall for Bell Slope adult bicycle helmets. The recall was published on January 4, 2024. The recall involves approximately 2,360 units sold in the United States. Only adult sized Bell Slope Helmets are affected by this recall. The helmets were sold at Target, Fred Meyer, Academy, other stores nationwide and on other websites from January 2023 through April 2023 for approximately $30. The manufacturer is Bell Sports Inc., Irvine, California. The country of manufacture is the United States.

3. Hazard Information
The specific hazard identified in the recall notice is that the strap anchor can become dislodged from the helmet when sufficient force is applied. This condition violates the CPSC federal safety regulation for bicycle helmets. As a result, the helmets can fail to protect in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury. 4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Bell Adult Slope helmets. To receive a refund, consumers must destroy the helmet by cutting off the straps. After destroying the helmet, consumers must upload photos of the helmet with the straps cut to consumersupport-bell@bellhelmets.com to prove destruction. After submitting the photos, consumers should dispose of the recalled helmet.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy for this recall is a refund. Consumers who follow the destruction and photo submission process will receive a refund from Bell Sports.
