Recall Summary
This recall is an expansion of a previous recall (June 2021) and involves SIORO-branded 100% cotton, terry cloth children’s robes. The recall was announced on May 9, 2024, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The robes are long-sleeved with a hood, two front pockets, and a matching belt. The recall expansion adds approximately 5,000 units to the approximately 950 units recalled in June 2021. The robes were sold exclusively on Amazon.com. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

Affected Products
The recalled products are SIORO-branded children’s robes made of 100% cotton terry cloth. They are available in the following colors: Rose Pink, Light Pink, Pure White, Falcon Gray, Green Mist, Light Blue, Navy, Peacock Blue, Gray Blue, and Plum. Sizes sold include 4-5T, 6-7 Years, and 8-10 Years. On the front of the neck label is a flamingo, the text “100% Cotton”, and “Made in China”. On the back of the neck label are washing instructions. The robes were sold online at Amazon.com from November 2021 through July 2023 for between $20 and $27. The importer is SIORO, of China. The robes were manufactured in China.

Hazard Information
The children’s robes violate the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. This is a violation of federal flammability standards. No injuries have been reported as of the date of the recall notice.

Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled robes away from children and stop using them. Consumers must destroy the garments by cutting them in half. After destroying the garment, consumers should take a photo of the destroyed garment and send that photo to SIORO at amazonus@sioro.com. Upon receipt of the photo, SIORO will refund consumers the purchase price. After receiving the refund, consumers should dispose of the destroyed garments in accordance with local and state recycling laws.

Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. To obtain the refund, consumers must: (1) destroy the robe by cutting it in half, (2) send a photo of the destroyed garment to amazonus@sioro.com, and (3) upon receipt of the photo, SIORO will refund the purchase price. Consumers are then responsible for disposing of the destroyed garments according to local and state recycling laws.
