The product is identified by a white label located on the side post of the gate, which displays the text “Retractable Safety Gate” and the model number. The name “LIVACTI” appears on the product packaging. Approximately 1,400 units were sold in the United States. The gates were manufactured in China. The importer is Lichang E-Commerce, Inc., of Hacienda Heights, California. The distributors are Shenzhen Yiqiyuan Technology Co. Ltd., doing business as Qeyan, of China, and Shenzhen Yanyan Network Co. Ltd., doing business as Yanyanny, of China. The gates were sold exclusively on Amazon from December 2024 through April 2025 for a retail price between $55 and $75.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the recalled gates violate the mandatory federal safety standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. Specifically, the design of the gate allows a child’s torso to fit through the opening between the bottom of the gate and the floor. This condition creates a risk of entrapment, which could lead to serious injury or death. The recall notice states that no injuries have been reported in connection with this product.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the recalled gates. To receive a refund, consumers must contact Qeyan and Yanyanny for specific instructions. As part of the remedy process, consumers are required to destroy the gate by cutting through the mesh material. After destroying the gate, consumers must take a photograph showing the destroyed gate. The photograph must then be submitted via email to support@livactihome.com.
