On May 5, 2022, Winter Water Factory LLC, of Brooklyn, New York, announced a recall of infant French terry jumpsuits, rompers, snap suits, baby dresses, and bibs. The recall was issued in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) under Recall Number 22130. The recall involves approximately 46,500 units in the United States and an additional 169 units sold in Canada. The recall was prompted by reports of snaps detaching from the garments, which can expose small sharp prongs.

The products were sold at small boutique stores nationwide and online at www.winterwaterfactory.com from August 2020 through April 2022, with prices ranging from $19 to $49 depending on style.

3. Hazard Information
The snaps on the recalled garments can detach and also expose small sharp prongs. This poses choking and laceration hazards to young children. The firm has received 29 reports of snaps detaching between the prong ring and the stud or socket piece. No injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled jumpsuits, rompers, snap suits, baby dresses, and bibs. Consumers must destroy the recalled garments by cutting them in half with scissors. After destroying the garment, consumers should upload a photo of the destroyed garment(s) to the company’s website at www.winterwaterfactory.com/pages/recall. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued their choice of a full refund of the purchase price or a store credit with an additional 20% of the purchase price.
