1. Recall Summary
WizWheelz Inc., of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is conducting a voluntary recall of GreenSpeed Magnum and Magnum XL recumbent trikes equipped with Sturmey-Archer drum brake quick release front axles. The recall also includes replacement Quick Release Axles sold separately. The recall was initiated due to a manufacturing issue with the front axles. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries had been reported.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves GreenSpeed Magnum and Magnum XL model recumbent trikes. The words “Magnum” or “Magnum XL” are printed on the trikes. The Sturmey-Archer brand name is printed on the hub/wheel where the axle is attached. The recalled trikes are available in orange, blue, or charcoal colors, with a black seat and three wheels. The serial numbers included in this recall range from P21276160 through P21460262. The serial number is printed on the left dropout, which is a slot in the rear of the bike where the rear wheel attaches. The recall also covers replacement Quick Release Axles sold separately. Approximately 340 units are affected in the United States. The trikes were sold at bicycle stores nationwide from September 2021 through March 2022 for between $3,200 and $3,500. Replacement axles were sold from May 2021 through March 2022 for about $25. The trikes were manufactured in Taiwan.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled recumbent trikes have front axles that were improperly assembled during manufacturing. According to the recall notice, the axles can come loose during use. This condition can cause the rider to lose control, posing crash and injury hazards. No injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled trikes. The recall notice instructs consumers to return the trikes to the place of purchase for a free repair. The firm is contacting all known purchasers about the recall.
