Recall Summary
On March 7, 2024, Getallfun, of Aurora, Illinois, initiated a recall of approximately 1,140 units of high-powered magnetic ball sets. The recall was published under CPSC Recall Number 24147. The recalled product is the “216-Piece 5mm Magnet Balls” set. The magnets are small, spherical, loose, and separable neodymium rare-earth magnets with a strong magnetic flux. Each magnet has a diameter of 5mm. The sets contain 216 magnetic balls in various colors and are encased in a clear, plastic case and a portable tin storage box. Hazard Information
CPSC testing determined that the recalled magnetic ball sets do not comply with the requirements of the mandatory federal toy regulation. Specifically, the sets contain one or more magnets that fit within CPSC’s small parts cylinder, and the magnets are stronger than permitted by the regulation. The hazard associated with these magnets is ingestion. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or another metal object, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting and/or blockage of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning, and death. As of the recall date, no injuries have been reported in connection with this specific product. However, CPSC estimates that 2,400 magnet ingestions were treated in hospital emergency departments from 2017 through 2021, and CPSC is aware of seven deaths involving the ingestion of hazardous magnets, including two outside of the United States.

Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled magnets immediately. They must take the magnets away from children. Consumers should then contact Getallfun.com to receive a pre-paid label to return the recalled products. Getallfun is notifying all known purchasers directly.
