1. Recall Summary
Allura Imports Inc., of New York, New York, is recalling youth sweatshirts with drawstrings. The recall was initiated because the drawstrings in the clothing can get caught on objects and cause death or serious injury to children from strangulation. The sweatshirts are in violation of federal regulations for children’s upper outerwear and present a substantial product hazard. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall. 2. Affected Products
The recall involves youth sweatshirts with drawstrings. The sweatshirts are gray and have the Bobcat name and logo printed in black on the chest. The sweatshirts were sold in youth sizes 8/10 and 12/14. The size of the sweatshirt and “RN
36753” is printed on the neck label in black. Approximately 120 units are affected by this recall. The sweatshirts were manufactured in Egypt. They were sold exclusively at Gabe’s stores from October 2025 through November 2025 for about $15.
3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is that the drawstrings in the recalled clothing can get caught on objects and cause death or serious injury to children from strangulation. The sweatshirts are in violation of the federal regulations for children’s upper outerwear and present a substantial product hazard. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries or incidents have been reported.
4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should take the recalled clothing away from children immediately. Consumers must remove the drawstrings to eliminate the hazard. After removing the drawstrings, consumers should contact Allura Imports for a full refund. To initiate the refund process, consumers should email cs@alluraimports.com with the subject line “RECALL,” along with their name and the date. Allura Imports will provide a shipping label to return the garment. Upon receipt of the returned garment, affected consumers will be issued a refund.
5. Official Remedy
The official remedy for this recall is a full refund. Consumers are instructed to remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirt, contact Allura Imports via email to receive a prepaid shipping label, and return the garment. After Allura Imports receives the returned garment, the consumer will be issued a full refund.
