The front label displays the brand name and product name in white and orange, along with the phrases “No Soot,” “No Ash,” and “Clean Burning.” Hazard warnings are printed on the side of the container. The product was sold in single packs and 3-packs. Approximately 14,000 units are affected by this recall. The products were sold exclusively on Amazon from April 2025 through July 2025. Single packs were sold for about $19, and 3-packs were sold for about $31. The manufacturer country is Turkey. The distributor is STARKIM KIMYA SAN.TIC. A.S, of Turkey, and the importer is Astemrey LLC, of Casper, Wyoming. Only products manufactured and sold after January 12, 2025, are included in this recall.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled fuel containers violate the mandatory safety standards for portable fuel containers because they lack flame mitigation devices required under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act. This violation poses a risk of flash fire. The recall notice states that no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled fireplace fuel immediately. The product should be placed out of reach of children. To participate in the recall remedy, consumers must clearly mark the product container with “DO NOT USE” and the Amazon order number. Consumers must then take a photo showing the entire product with these markings visible and email it to contact@astemrey.com for verification. Once Astemrey verifies the request for replacement, consumers should properly dispose of the original bottle and contents. For disposal, consumers should follow local household hazardous waste (HHW) guidance for flammable liquids. Consumers should contact their city, county, or state HHW program for specific instructions, as requirements may differ by location. The recommended safe approach is to keep the product in its original container, clearly label it “Do Not Use,” and bring it to a local HHW drop-off. Consumers should not pour fuel into drains and should not place fuel in household trash.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a replacement. Consumers who follow the verification process will receive a free replacement container of fuel from Astemrey. The replacement is available only for products manufactured and sold after January 12, 2025.
