The recall involves approximately 10,400 units sold in the United States. The recalled product violates the mandatory federal safety standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are Vevor-branded retractable safety gates. The gates have a metal frame approximately 34.2 inches high and a retractable screen. The gates were sold in gray, black, and white. The recalled models and their maximum extended widths are as follows:
– Model YJ-3355: extends up to 60 inches wide.
– Model YJ-3371: extends up to 76.8 inches wide.
– Model YJ-33110: extends up to 116 inches wide.

The brand name “Vevor” is printed on a label located on the corner post of the gate. The model number is printed on the product packaging and in the user manual. The gates were sold online at Amazon.com, Homedepot.com, Vevor.com, Walmart.com, and Wayfair.com from December 2023 through December 2025. The retail price was between $32 and $53. The product was manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled gates violate the mandatory federal safety standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. The violation is due to a design issue where a child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor. This condition poses a risk of serious injury due to entrapment. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled gates. Consumers are instructed to destroy the gate by cutting through the mesh. After destroying the gate, consumers must take a photo of the destroyed gate and send that photo to Sanven Technology at the email address recalling@vevor.com. Consumers should then contact Sanven Technology to arrange for a full refund.
