1. Recall Summary
This recall involves UVIPC Baby Gates, which were sold exclusively on Amazon.com. The recall was announced on February 6, 2025, under Recall Number 25122. The gates are pressure-mounted and open both inward and outward. They are constructed from steel and ABS plastic and were available in white and black colors. The product was imported by Rainbow Trade (HK) Co. Limited, of Hong Kong, and distributed by Shangchengxianxianshengyouliguojimaoyishanghang, doing business as Xianshengyouli Storefront, of China. The gates were manufactured in China. Approximately 1,500 units were sold.

2. Affected Products
The recall includes four versions of the UVIPC Baby Gate, all labeled with model number W046 on the product’s tracking label. All versions measure approximately 40.5 inches in height. The specific versions are as follows:
– Version 1: Includes a secondary pet door. Adjustable width from approximately 57.5 inches to 74.5 inches.
– Version 2: Includes a secondary pet door. Adjustable width from approximately 73 inches to 81 inches.
– Version 3: No pet door. Adjustable width from approximately 30 inches to 63.5 inches.
– Version 4: No pet door. Adjustable width from approximately 57.5 inches to 74.5 inches.

All versions come with four 3.93-4-inch screws and two 3-inch screws. The gates were sold on Amazon.com from November 2022 through September 2024 for between $186 and $230.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled baby gates violate federal safety regulations for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. For the versions with a pet door, a child’s torso can fit through the secondary opening. For the other versions that are adjustable, a child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate slat and side wall. These violations pose an entrapment hazard to children. As of the recall date, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled gates immediately. Consumers must contact Xianshengyouli via email at xianshengyouli@outlook.com for information on how to dispose of the product. After disposal, consumers must submit proof of destruction to obtain a full refund. Xianshengyouli and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

The official remedy is a full refund. To receive the refund, consumers must follow the instructions provided by Xianshengyouli, which include disposing of the product and submitting proof of destruction.
