On July 28, 2022, Ocean Technology Systems, doing business as Undersea Systems International Inc., of Santa Ana, California, initiated a recall of certain underwater communication devices and their associated battery packs. The recall was conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall notice is identified by CPSC Recall Number 22191. The products were sold at Blue Dolphin Dive Shop (North Carolina), Performance Scuba (Alabama), Lauderdale Marine Center (Florida), Mountain West Commercial Diving (Idaho), and other dive shops and municipalities nationwide and online at www.otscomm.com from January 2021 through April 2022 for between $1,650 and $3,600. Approximately 500 units were sold in the United States.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that water can leak into the recalled underwater communication device during a dive and penetrate into the battery pack, causing the battery circuit board to short and ignite after the dive, posing a fire hazard.
