1. Recall Summary
ABC Trading Inc., of Vernon, California, is recalling approximately 84,700 units of children’s toys. The recall includes toy headbands and electronic pet cages. The recall was initiated because the toys violate the mandatory federal safety standard for toys. The products contain button cell batteries, and the battery compartments can be easily accessed by children. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are as follows:
– Toy Headbands (Model 6300RP): A plastic headband with a bow. The bow is pink with white polka dots and features a small push button on top to activate lights in the bow.
– Electronic Pet Cage – Dinosaur Tribes (Model 8266 / ZH998-22): A silver plastic cage with a blue bottom. The cage contains a red dinosaur and a yellow egg inside.
– My Pet Bird Cute Bird Tribes (Model ZH998-23): A plastic cage with a pink top and bottom. The cage contains a blue bird inside.

The products were sold at TOYZ and Joissu Product stores nationwide from November 2022 through October 2025 for between $5 and $9. The toys were manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled children’s toys violate the mandatory standard for toys because they contain button cell batteries. The compartments that hold the batteries can be easily accessed by children. When button cell and coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death. No injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled children’s toys immediately. Consumers are instructed to contact ABC Trading for a refund. Consumers will be asked to take a photo of the disposed products in the trash and email the photo to recallabc@gmail.com to receive a full refund of the retail price.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund of the retail price. To obtain the refund, consumers must dispose of the product in the trash, take a photograph of the disposed product, and email that photograph to recallabc@gmail.com.
