The covers are white and made of ABS plastic. The following markings are printed on the center of the grate: “Listed suction fitting,” “SP-1053-B,” and “88D9 148 GPM.” The outer ring of the grate bears the text: “Use screws to keep grate secured to dram (drain) at all times.” Approximately 1,040 units were sold in the United States. The products were manufactured in China by Guangzhoushuoshenghaoyikejiyouxiangongsi, doing business as TopHomerUS. The drain covers were sold on Amazon.com from August 2024 through October 2025 at prices ranging from $15 to $26.

Hazard Information
The recalled drain covers violate the entrapment protection standards of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA). This violation poses entrapment and drowning hazards to swimmers and bathers. The hazard is directly related to the product’s failure to meet federal safety requirements designed to prevent body or hair entrapment in pool and spa drains.
