1. Recall Summary
This recall involves all Sunneday and Blue Bay brand above-ground pools that are 48 inches and taller. The recall was announced on January 29, 2026. The manufacturer is Starmatrix Group Inc., of China. The pools were sold online at Amazon.com and www.sunneday.com from January 2024 through October 2025 for between $500 and $1,210 depending on the size and model of the pool and accessories purchased. Approximately 2,390 units are affected.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are Sunneday and Blue Bay brand above-ground pools with a height of 48 inches or taller. The Sunneday or Blue Bay logo is printed on the liner on the outside of the pool. Model information is also printed on the liner. The specific models subject to this recall are:

– Sunneday Oasis Cottage 18’x52″ (Model 70018, UPC 850022858529)
– Sunneday Oasis Cottage 24’x52″ (Model 70024, UPC 850022858536)
– Blue Bay Softsided Pool 15’x48″ (Model 358015W, UPC 191127003583)
– Blue Bay Softsided Pool 15’x48″ (Model 359015G, UPC 191127003590)
– Blue Bay Softsided Pool 18’x52″ (Model 360018W, UPC 191127003606)
– Blue Bay Softsided Pool 18’x52″ (Model 361018G, UPC 191127003613)
– Blue Bay Softsided Pool 18’x52″ (Model 380018T, UPC 191127003804)

3. Hazard Information
The recalled above-ground pools contain a compression strap (also referred to as a reinforcing belt) that wraps around the pool on the outside of the vertical support poles. This strap may create a foothold, allowing a child to access the pool and drown. Children can still gain access to the pools using these footholds even if the ladder is removed. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should contact Starmatrix to request a free repair kit. In the interim, consumers should ensure that children cannot access the pool unattended or, alternatively, drain the pool until the repair can be installed. CPSC’s website www.PoolSafely.gov has free, downloadable educational materials available to the public on pool safety including information on barriers, covers, alarms and other safety information.
