The retail price ranged between $470 and $560.

Hazard Information
The recalled kayak paddles can break during use, posing a drowning hazard. The recall notice states that 80 incidents of the paddles breaking have been reported to the firm. No injuries have been reported. The CPSC and Werner Paddles have not identified any specific cause or manufacturing defect beyond the documented breakage.
