3. Hazard Information
The recalled firearm sights contain a button cell battery that violates mandatory federal regulations for consumer products containing such batteries. The hazard is that the button cell battery can be easily accessed from the product. Additionally, the battery is not in child-resistant packaging as required by Reese’s Law, and the product does not bear the required warning labels. When swallowed, ingested button cell batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death, posing an ingestion hazard to children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled firearm sights. They must contact SIG SAUER for instructions on how to submit a picture of the serial number located on the bottom of the sight.
