Calico Brands, of Ontario, California, is recalling approximately 175,000 units of the Scripto® Premium Torch. The recall was announced on October 9, 2025, and is identified by CPSC Recall Number 26006. The recall was initiated because the torches violate the requirements of the mandatory safety standard for multipurpose lighters.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves the Scripto® Premium Torch. The product features a four-position adjustable metal nozzle, adjustable flame, hands-free operation lock, black ergonomic non-slip rubber grip, and a metal base with black velvet on the bottom. The UPC number “0-70257-52226-6” is printed on the back of the product box. The torches were sold at Walmart and Home Depot stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com and Homedepot.com from November 2024 through August 2025 for about $15. The product was manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled torches violate the requirements of the mandatory safety standard for multipurpose lighters. According to the recall notice, this violation poses a risk of injury or death from fires and burns to consumers. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.
