On April 2, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published Recall Number 26378 for Sangohe-branded adult portable bed rails. This recall is a reannouncement and expansion of a previous recall (January 2026). The recall involves approximately 36,500 units total. The previous recall covered about 26,200 units. – Model 504E: Black in color. Measures 23 inches wide by 35 inches tall. Weighs nine pounds. The model number “504E” is located on the outer packaging box, on the product label/sticker attached to the bed rail, and on the first page of the instruction manual.
– Model 504Q: Black in color. Measures 28.5 inches wide by 43.3 inches tall. Weighs nine pounds. The model number “504Q” is located on the outer packaging box, on the product label/sticker attached to the bed rail, and on the first page of the instruction manual.

The products were sold online at Amazon.com from August 2023 through February 2026. The retail price was approximately $90 for model 504Q and approximately $110 for model 504E.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory federal standard for adult portable bed rails. The specific hazard is that users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This poses a serious entrapment hazard and a risk of death by asphyxiation. Additionally, the bed rails do not bear the required warning labels as mandated by the standard. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled adult portable bed rails. Consumers must destroy the bed rails by cutting the handrails’ foam padding and writing “RECALLED” on the upper and lower rails with a permanent marker. After destroying the product, consumers must take a photo of the destroyed rails and email that photo to Sangohe at SGHproductrecall@163.com.

The official remedy is a full refund. After consumers email the photo of the destroyed bed rails to Sangohe, they will receive a full refund.
