1. Recall Summary
This recall involves model year 2025 Kawasaki KX450, KX450SR, and KX450X motorcycles. The vehicles are two-wheel competition and cross-country motorcycles sold in lime green. 2. Affected Products
The recalled products are model year 2025 Kawasaki KX450, KX450SR, and KX450X motorcycles. The specific model numbers and Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) included in this recall are as follows:
– 2025 KX450: Model Number KX450MSFNN. VIN range: JKAKXGMCSA008598 through JKAKXGMCSA011475.
– 2025 KX450SR: Model Number KX450PSFNN. VIN range: JKAKXGPCSA000012 through JKAKXGMCSA000971.
– 2025 KX450X: Model Number KX450NSFNN. VIN range: JKAKXGNCSA002194 through JKAKXGNCSA003159.

The model number is located on the right side of the vehicle. The VIN is located on the right side of the frame head pipe. The motorcycles were sold at authorized Kawasaki dealers nationwide from June 2024 through March 2025 for between $10,500 and $13,600. The motorcycles were manufactured in Japan.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the primary gear for the crank shaft can fail. This failure poses a crash hazard to the rider. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled competition and cross-country motorcycles. Consumers must contact an authorized Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free repair. The repair will take place at an authorized Kawasaki dealership.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a free repair. The primary gear on the affected motorcycles will be replaced with a new gear. This repair is provided at no cost to the consumer.
