Innovative Designs LLC, of New York, is recalling approximately 75,900 units of Minecraft Light-Up Slap Ruler Bracelets. The recall was initiated because the battery compartment of the bracelets can be opened easily by children, allowing access to the pre-installed button cell batteries. This condition violates the battery-operated toys requirements under the mandatory federal standard for toys. The recall was published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on July 24, 2025.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves the Minecraft Light-Up Slap Ruler Bracelets, specifically Models 718508MCR and 718075MCR. The bracelets are available in pink and green. The “MINECRAFT” logo is printed on the front of the packaging, and the model number is printed on the back of the packaging. Each bracelet includes three pre-installed button cell batteries. The products were sold at Walmart stores nationwide from March 2025 through May 2025 for approximately $2. The products were manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the battery compartment of the recalled light-up ruler bracelets can be opened easily by children, providing access to the button cell batteries. This violates the battery-operated toys requirements under the mandatory standard for toys.
