This recall involves LiKee Pull String teething toys. The recall was initiated by the importer, Shenzhen Qilanshiyeyouxiangongsi (Shenzhen Qilan Industrial Co., Ltd.), doing business as ChilanTech, of China. The manufacturer is Guangzhou Huanmao Business Service Co. Ltd., of China. The product was sold exclusively on Amazon.com from November 2024 through December 2025 for approximately $10. Approximately 24,400 units are affected.
2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the LiKee Pull String Teething Toy. The toy consists of an off-white disc shape with a blue ball in the center and six multi-colored, silicone tentacle-looking pull strings that run through the ball. The disc has three soft push buttons. The brand name “LiKee” and the words “Baby Sensory Toy” are printed on the front of the product packaging. The model number “LK-FDWJ” is printed on the back of the packaging. The product was sold in the United States.
3. Hazard Information
The recalled teething toys violate the mandatory federal standard for toys. The silicone strings on the toy are smaller and longer than permitted by the standard. As a result, the strings can reach the back of a child’s throat and become lodged. This poses a risk of serious injury or death from choking. The firm, ChilanTech, has received ten reports of the toys’ strings reaching the back of a child’s throat, resulting in respiratory distress or choking.
4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled toy and take it away from children. Consumers are instructed to destroy the toy by cutting the silicone tentacles and writing the word “Recalled” in permanent marker on the toy’s main body. After destroying the product, consumers must take a photograph of the destroyed toy and send that photo to the email address provided by the firm. After sending the photo, consumers should dispose of the destroyed product.
5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a free replacement toy of at least equal value, including shipping. Consumers must contact ChilanTech to initiate the replacement process. The firm will provide the replacement after receiving the required photo of the destroyed product.
