RH US LLC, of Corte Madera, California, is conducting a voluntary recall of approximately 480 units of RH Baby & Child Jeune French Contemporary Upholstered Panel Cribs. An additional 10 units were sold in Canada. The recall was initiated due to a choking hazard. The firm has received two reports of a metal insert loosening and detaching. No injuries have been reported. The recall was published on August 1, 2024, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) under Recall Number 24331.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves RH Baby & Child Jeune French Contemporary Upholstered Panel Cribs. The wooden crib measures approximately 30 inches wide, 55½ inches long, and 42 inches high. The cribs were sold in three finish options: brushed gray oak, brushed light oak, and brushed white oak. The crib features upholstered end and lower panels, three adjustable mattress height settings, and the ability to convert into a toddler bed.

Affected units are identified by the first six digits of the SKU number. The specific SKU prefixes included in this recall are: 113210, 113313, and 113754. The SKU number is printed on the purchase receipt and on a label located on the inner-lower portion of the upholstered panel.

The cribs were sold at RH Baby & Child stores, RH outlets nationwide, and online at https://rhbabyandchild.rh.com from January 2021 through March 2024. The retail price ranged between $600 and $2,900. The product was manufactured in Vietnam.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is that the cylindrical metal inserts in the crib’s wooden frame can become loose and detach. This condition poses a choking hazard to young children. The firm has received two reports of this metal insert loosening and detaching. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the recalled cribs. Consumers should contact RH to receive a full refund of the purchase price or a new replacement crib with shipping at no charge. RH will provide free pickup of the recalled crib. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy options are a refund or a replacement. Consumers who have a receipt will receive a full refund of the purchase price or a new replacement crib with shipping at no charge. If no receipt is available, the consumer will receive a $1,260 cash refund, credit, or a new replacement crib with shipping at no charge. In all cases, RH will provide free pickup of the recalled crib.
