Recall Information Record: HTP Brand ELU Elite Ultra Residential Gas Boilers

1. Recall Summary
This recall involves HTP-brand ELU Elite Ultra residential wall-mounted gas boilers. The boilers were manufactured by NTI Boilers Inc., of Canada, and imported by Ariston USA LLC, of Providence, Rhode Island. The recall was published on June 5, 2025, under CPSC Recall Number 25325. The boilers were sold by independent heating and plumbing contractors and wholesale distributors nationwide from October 2024 through February 2025 for between $3,400 and $4,100. Approximately 96 units were sold in the United States, and an additional 9 units were sold in Canada. No injuries have been reported as of the recall date.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are HTP-brand ELU Elite Ultra residential wall-mounted gas boilers with model numbers ELU-150WBN and ELU-199WBN. The boilers are black in color and measure approximately 20 inches wide and 34 inches high. The serial number, model number, and product name are located on the rating plate on the left-hand side of the boiler. The specific model names, numbers, and serial number ranges are as follows:
– Model Name/Number: ELU Elite Ultra / ELU-150WBN; Serial Number(s) or Range: 3260035C8 (242770000111-242850000104)
– Model Name/Number: ELU Elite Ultra / ELU-199WBN; Serial Number(s) or Range: 3260036C8 (243240000051-250150000084)

3. Hazard Information
The boiler door can fail to seal properly due to incorrect burner door studs. This failure allows flames and gases to escape, posing fire and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning hazards that can result in death or serious injury. No injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled boilers and contact HTP to arrange to have a certified technician install the repair at no cost to the consumer. Consumers who must continue using the boiler while awaiting repair should have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in their homes.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a repair. Consumers are instructed to contact HTP to schedule a free repair to be performed by a certified technician. The repair will be provided at no cost to the consumer.
