1. Recall Summary
This recall involves HTP-brand ELU Elite Ultra residential wall-mounted gas boilers. The recall was announced on June 5, 2025, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in cooperation with the manufacturer, NTI Boilers Inc., of Canada, and the importer, Ariston USA LLC, of Providence, Rhode Island. The recall notice states that the boiler door can fail to seal properly due to incorrect burner door studs, allowing flames and gases to escape. The recall number is 25325. Approximately 96 units are affected in the United States, with an additional 9 units sold in Canada.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are HTP-brand ELU Elite Ultra residential wall-mounted gas boilers. The specific model numbers are ELU-150WBN and ELU-199WBN. The boilers are black in color and measure approximately 20 inches wide and 34 inches high. The serial number, model number, and product name are located on the rating plate on the left-hand side of the boiler. The affected serial numbers or ranges are as follows:
– Model Name/Number: ELU Elite Ultra / ELU-150WBN; Serial Number(s) or Range: 3260035C8 (242770000111-242850000104)
– Model Name/Number: ELU Elite Ultra / ELU-199WBN; Serial Number(s) or Range: 3260036C8 (243240000051-250150000084)

The boilers were sold by independent heating and plumbing contractors and wholesale distributors nationwide from October 2024 through February 2025 for a price between $3,400 and $4,100.

3. Hazard Information
According to the recall notice, the hazard is that the boiler door can fail to seal properly due to incorrect burner door studs. This failure can allow flames and gases to escape, posing fire and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning hazards that can result in death or serious injury. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the recalled boilers. Consumers who must continue using the boiler while awaiting repair should have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in their homes. Consumers should contact HTP to arrange to have a certified technician install the repair at no cost to the consumer.
