Grundens, of Poulsbo, Washington, is recalling approximately 8,850 youth jackets (with an additional 730 units sold in Canada). The recall involves the Youth Clipper 282 Jacket and the Youth Zenith 282 Jacket. The jackets were sold in youth sizes 8 through 12. The recall was initiated due to a strangulation hazard presented by a drawstring in the hood of the jackets. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are the Grundens Youth Clipper 282 Jacket and the Grundens Youth Zenith 282 Jacket. The Youth Clipper 282 Jacket was sold in an orange color. The Youth Zenith 282 Jacket was sold in orange, navy, and camouflage colors. Both jackets have a drawstring in the hood. The word “Grundens” is printed on the left chest of the jacket. Inside the jacket, there is a black label with “Grundens” and the country of origin in white lettering. The jackets were manufactured in China and Portugal. The jackets were sold at Bass Pro Shops and other outdoor stores nationwide and on Grundens.com from August 2015 through August 2025 for a retail price between $55 and $120.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the drawstring in the hood of the recalled jackets presents a substantial product hazard. The drawstring can get caught on objects, which can cause death or serious injury to children due to strangulation. The recall notice states that no injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.
