1. Recall Summary
This recall involves Greater Goods Digital Kitchen Scales. The recall was published on January 30, 2025, under CPSC Recall Number 25111. The recall is issued due to violations of federal safety regulations for consumer products containing coin batteries, specifically related to Reese’s Law. The products were sold from May 2023 through September 2024. Approximately 349,500 units are affected. No injuries have been reported.
2. Affected Products

The scales are available in gray, black, blue, green, pink, red, silver, and white colors. Each scale has a sticker on the back with the brand and model number printed on it. The Greater Goods logo is located on the top of the front panel of the scale. The scales come with a lithium CR3032 coin battery pre-installed and a spare CR3032 battery included in the packaging. The products were manufactured in China. The importer is Greater Goods LLC, of Saint Louis, Missouri. The scales were sold at Alexandra’s Kitchen store located in Niskayuna, New York, and online at Amazon, Walmart, and Greater Goods from May 2023 through September 2024 for about $10.
3. Hazard Information

The scale has a lithium coin battery that can be easily accessed by children. A spare coin battery is provided with the product and is not in child-resistant packaging, as required by Reese’s Law. The recalled scales also do not have the required warnings. These violations pose an ingestion hazard.
