1. Recall Summary
This recall involves FENGQS F7 Pro electric bikes with lithium-ion batteries manufactured on April 21, 2024. The recall was announced on July 24, 2025, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) under Recall Number 25403. The manufacturer is Shenzhen Fengqisi Car Industry Co., Ltd., dba FENGQS, of China. The e-bikes were sold exclusively on Amazon from May 2024 through December 2024. Approximately 100 units are affected.

2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the FENGQS F7 Pro electric bike, sold in blue. The brand name “FENGQS” is printed on the downtube of the frame. The model number “F7 Pro” is printed on the chain stay, near the rear wheel. The battery’s capacity (21.5Ah) and the production date (2024/4/21) are printed on a label on the front of the battery. Only e-bikes with batteries bearing the production date of April 21, 2024, are included in this recall. The e-bikes were sold for a retail price between $700 and $1,200.

3. Hazard Information
The lithium-ion battery in the recalled e-bikes can overheat and ignite, posing serious fire and burn hazards to consumers. FENGQS has received 13 reports of e-bikes igniting. Of those incidents, two resulted in fires that caused property damage totaling $4,000. No injuries have been reported in the source data.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled e-bikes immediately. Consumers must contact FENGQS to initiate the recall process. The following steps are required by the manufacturer:
– Write your name, the word “recalled,” and the current date next to the battery’s production date using a permanent marker.
– Take a clear photograph showing this information.
– Submit the photograph via email to recall@fengqs.work.
– Confirm that the battery has been disposed of in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Important disposal note from the recall notice: Do not throw the recalled lithium-ion battery or the device in the trash, the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries because they present a greater risk of fire. Consumers should contact their municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center ahead of time to ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. If it does not, contact the municipality for further guidance.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. After FENGQS receives the required photograph and confirmation of proper battery disposal, the company will issue a full refund to the consumer.
