1. Recall Summary

ECHO Inc., of Lake Zurich, Illinois, is recalling approximately 3,900 gas-powered backpack blowers. The recall was published on August 1, 2024, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) under Recall Number 24329. The recall involves two specific models of ECHO 59.7cc gas-powered backpack blowers: model numbers PB-5810H and PB-5810T. These blowers are designed for residential and commercial use. The recalled units are orange and black in color, with “ECHO” printed on the starter recoil housing. The model and serial numbers are located on a label near the right side of the black blower fan housing.

2. Affected Products

The recalled products are ECHO gas-powered backpack blowers with the following model numbers and serial number ranges:

– Model PB-5810H: Serial numbers P61312001001 through P61312002590.
– Model PB-5810T: Serial numbers P61212001001 through P61212004155.

The products were sold at Golden Eagle Distributing Company, of Rocklin, California, and by independent dealers nationwide from May 2024 through June 2024. The retail price was approximately $430. The manufacturer is ECHO Inc., located in Lake Zurich, Illinois. The country of manufacture is the United States.

3. Hazard Information

The recall was initiated due to a fire hazard. According to the recall notice, the fuel supply line on the affected blowers can leak gas, posing a fire hazard. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.

4. Consumer Action Required

Consumers are instructed to take the following action immediately:
– Stop using the recalled blowers immediately.
