On April 9, 2026, a recall was announced for Easymake adult portable bed rails. The recall was issued because the bed rails violate the mandatory federal safety standard for adult portable bed rails. The product is imported by Shenzhen Zhongfenzhigu Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as ZFZG-US, of China. The manufacturer is Zhongshan Yungu Daily Products Co., LTD, of China. The recall number is 26387. Approximately 19,000 units were sold in the United States.

2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Easymake adult portable bed rail. The bed rail is white and gray, made of metal, and measures approximately 31.3 inches wide by 39.4 inches tall. The unit features extendable handles and legs, gray padding, and a gray storage mesh pocket. The product packaging bears the printed text “EASYMAKE” and “Manufacturer: Zhongshan Yungu daily products Co., LTD.” The bed rails were sold online at Amazon.com from August 2023 through February 2026 for approximately $55. No model numbers or UPCs are specified in the recall notice.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails. The violation creates a risk that users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This poses a serious entrapment hazard and a risk of death by asphyxiation. Additionally, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries or incidents have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled bed rails immediately. Consumers are instructed to destroy the bed rail by cutting the storage bag off the upper rail and cutting the safety strap in half. Consumers must then write “Recalled” in permanent marker on the main frame of the bed rail. After marking the product, consumers should upload a photo of the marked bed rails to the recall website at https://easymake-us.myshopify.com/recall. Following the upload, consumers should dispose of the recalled product in accordance with state and local waste disposal procedures.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. After consumers complete the destruction and photo upload steps as described in the Consumer Action Required section, they will receive a full refund from ZFZG-US.
