1. Recall Summary
DT Swiss, of Grand Junction, Colorado, is recalling approximately 6,000 units of DT Swiss Carbon Fiber Road Wheels. An additional 150 units were sold in Canada. The recall was initiated due to a defect that can compromise the wheel’s structural integrity, posing a crash hazard. The firm has received six reports of the outermost carbon layer separating around the rim flange. No injuries have been reported. The wheels were sold at independent bicycle dealers nationwide and as original equipment on various bicycle brands from September 2024 to July 2025. The retail price ranged between $1,000 and $1,880.
3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is a defect in the wheel that can compromise the wheel’s structural integrity. This defect poses a crash hazard to the user. The firm has received six reports of the outermost carbon layer separating around the rim flange. No injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.
