Recall Information Record
Recall Summary
On October 2, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published Recall Number 26005 for Almpal dissolved oxygen test kits. The recall involves approximately 470 units. The test kits were sold on Amazon from May 2025 through August 2025 for about $25. The distributor is Ningbo Leha E-Commerce Co., Ltd., of China, doing business as Amazon seller Almpal. The kits were manufactured in China. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
Affected Products
The recalled products are Almpal dissolved oxygen test kits. The test kits come in a cream-colored box bearing a white label with “Dissolved Oxygen Test Kit” and the manufacture date, batch number, and expiration date printed on it. The recall includes only unexpired kits sold after May 2025. Consumers are instructed to dispose of all kits—expired, unexpired, or unused—in accordance with local household hazardous waste regulation. Model numbers and UPCs are not specified in the recall notice.
Hazard Information
The recalled test kits contain a bottle of sulfuric acid. Under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, this bottle must be in child-resistant packaging. The test kits violate the mandatory standard for child-resistant packaging because the bottle of sulfuric acid is not child-resistant. This poses a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately secure the recalled test kits out of sight and reach of children. Consumers must then contact Almpal for instructions on how to properly dispose of the recalled bottles and for information on how to receive a full refund. Prior to disposing of the recalled kits, consumers will be asked to submit a photo to the seller’s account through Amazon’s messaging platform. A full refund will be issued upon successful verification of the submitted images. Consumers should dispose of all kits (expired, unexpired, or unused) in accordance with local household hazardous waste regulation. Physically returning the product is not required.
Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. Consumers must contact Almpal, submit a photo of the recalled kit through Amazon’s messaging platform, and then properly dispose of the product in line with local household hazardous waste regulations. After successful verification of the submitted images, a full refund will be issued.
Contact Information
Almpal can be reached by email at lehapet@hotmail.com for more information. No phone number or physical address is specified in the recall notice.
