1. Recall Summary
On January 26, 2023, Properly Tied LLC, of Oxford, Mississippi, initiated a recall of approximately 1,960 units of children’s lounge pants. The recall was issued due to the products’ failure to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, as determined by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall notice states that no injuries have been reported in connection with this product. The recall number is 23106.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves Properly Tied children’s lounge pants made of 100% cotton. The pants were advertised as “LD Aspen Loungepant.” They were available in sizes 2T through YXL. The recalled pants were sold in four print patterns: blaze, blue ridge, clay mountain, and forest. The internal waist band label contains the text “Properly Tied Pajama” and the size designation. The side seam label contains the text “Properly Tied, 100% Cotton and Made in China.” The products were sold at children’s product stores nationwide and online at www.properlytied.com from July 2020 through August 2022 for between $19 and $38. Retailers listed in the recall notice include Sweet Threads, Britches and Bows, May May’s, The Carousel, Bundle of Joy, Dragonflies, Tugboat and the Bird, Lora Belle Baby, Peach Tree Kids, and Hannah B’s.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled children’s sleepwear fails to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. According to the recall notice, this violation poses a risk of burn injuries to children. No injuries have been reported as of the date of the recall notice.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled children’s sleepwear away from children and stop using them. Consumers must then contact Properly Tied for instructions on how to receive a pre-paid mailer to return the lounge pants. Properly Tied is contacting all known purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. After contacting Properly Tied and receiving the pre-paid mailer, consumers should return the lounge pants. Upon receipt of the returned product, Properly Tied will issue a full refund.
