Modus Furniture International, of Los Angeles, California, is recalling approximately 675 Kentfield Solid Wood Eight-Drawer Dressers. The recall was initiated due to the dressers violating federal performance requirements under the STURDY Act. The dressers were sold under the names Kentfield Dresser, Eliza Dresser, Elyza Dresser, and Westmont Dresser. The product was manufactured in Indonesia. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves Kentfield Solid Wood Eight-Drawer Dressers. The product was also sold under the names Eliza Dresser, Elyza Dresser, and Westmont Dresser. The model number for all recalled units is 8ZU582A. The dressers were sold in a black drifted oak finish. Production date codes included in this recall range from 2023-10 (October 2023) through 2024-08 (August 2024). The model number and production date code are printed on a label located on the rear of the dresser. The dressers were sold at Joybird Stores nationwide and online at wayfair.com, allmodern.com, and joybird.com from January 2024 through December 2024. The retail price was between $980 and $2,000.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall. This instability poses a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in injuries or death to children. The dressers violate the performance requirements of the STURDY Act, a federal regulation for clothing storage units. As of the date of this recall, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled Kentfield Dressers immediately. Consumers must ensure the dresser is kept away from children until the remedy is applied.
